Lily beetles or lilioceris lilii attack mainly lilies and fritillaries and plants of the Liliaceae family., Lily beetles lay their eggs mainly on lillies and Fritillaries. Although lily beetles are bright red on top they are black underneath so when they sense danger they fall to the ground landing on their back with the black side up blending in with the ground therefore hiding themselves from predatores.
