Description

Rhododendron calendulaceum One of the easiest and showiest of the North American azaleas, this deciduous species has large, widely funnel-shaped flowers in late spring to early summer. The blossoms range in color from yellow to orange and red or combinations of the above. A real splash of late season color. Bright fall foliage color, best in sun in the Pacific NW. These are grown from seed collected in the wild by our friend Don Hyatt from a plant named “Roan Little Yellow” with yellow flowers on a compact plant. (-25\R1\5) RSBG#215sd2016
