I've always wanted one. I have a few tattoos, and I love getting them. But because of my past (I suffered from severe Bipolar disorder, and fell into self-harm. I destroyed A LOT of my body that way, although I've been clean for almost 3 years now.) I feel like it'd be a way to help make my scars a little, prettier. They'll never go away, and I don't ever plan on trying to remove/fade them, but getting a little something, I feel like it would really bring closure to my past for me.

I think they're beautiful, like all body mods. I myself probably wouldn't get one, but that's personal preference. As long as it's done professionally and in a certified parlour, not much could go wrong, good after care and you'll end up with a gorgeous new art piece (:

I don't think I could bring myself to get it done because of the pain, although I have no problem getting tattoos, and I even did a little one on myself in high school lol. But I think it's a beautiful practice. I think you should go for it.
