I told my self I wasn't going to buy this software due to the bad reviews associated with the installation. Well, I didn't listen to myself. My unit is a Garmin Ultra 126SV with the addition of the livescope. I purchased it from Bass Pro in July of 2024.
I've spent about 3 full days trying to figure out how to get it to load to my Unit. I loaded Active Captain, loaded to a micro SD card, did updates to latest software for my unit, rebooted, and reloaded. I've read Garmin Support pages ( not helpful) and watched installation videos which are not very helpful. After everything I try, I am now getting messages on my unit that " software updates are ready". I did them. Got another message. Same thing over and over. It is really confusing and instructions are non-existent!
In my opinion, it's much too difficult and shouldn't be this hard. I'm still trying to load it.
If it does what they claim it will, it will be great. At the present time it was a waste of money!

I just purchased an Echomap 126SV in June of 2024. Was looking at adding the extra features of the Navionics Vision+ to get the extra features. After reading the reviews and reading about the issues, I've decided to pass on it. Was going to add the Active Captain app also, had problems. Won't use 64 Gig card. Researched Garmin website to find out why my unit will not work. They claim some models won't. Software versions maybe? Good luck finding out which ones until you find out it won't load. Very poor information. I own the unit now but done with adding any features.

The charts themselves are nice. The bottom contour of the Puget Sound is fantastic. Would I buy them again? NO. It's not the charts were the problem is. It's Garmins chart plotters and their software. The navionics charts will download to your phone but not to your chartplotter. Lots of upset fisherman over this problem. Chat groups show this problem has been going on for a few years.

Been trying for two days to install and activate the charts .. no joy .. no Garmin help over the weekend on chat or call. Searched and followed you tube videos, down loaded their active captain app.. could got on & on ..

If you have an older chart plotter and looking for updated charts and features .. consider another brand besides Garmin
