Every night the Champion corps descend with God down below the world to fight Tiamat, the goddess of chaos. The Watchmen Corps deffends the city on the world's surface in God's abcense. After a coup against God is successful three men are left to navigate the aftermath. One man loses his faith and falls to the seductions of evil. One man who never had faith in any God except himself. And another who fights for his faith to the bitter end.
