These are really fab first building blocks for little hands. They are easy to fix together and big and easy to handle. This does come with the downside that the structures you build will break apart very easily, meaning you'll need to switch as they get older if you want to build anything substantial. But actually when they are little, their favourite game is destroying the things they/you have built, so this can be seen as a pro, depending on how you look at it. My daughter still plays with them at 4 despite the fact we have Duplo too. I think because you can build big satisfying structures very quickly, even if they do tend to break apart.
