A selection from the 'De Dorschkamp' experimental forestry station in Wageningen (NL). It forms a regular, oval to broad pyramidal crown. The bark is grey. The leaves are triangular to ovoid and dull green in colour. The leaf edge is lobed to roughly serrated. Bears flowers in the form of female catkins. Little sensitive to rust but very sensitive to canker. 'Witte van Haamstede' can be used for landscapes and in row planting. Is very resistant to wind and salt. Winter hardiness zone: 5a
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.
