Formed of three obovate petals, white or pale pink. At the centre is a flattened disc of fused carpels, and a ring of six stamens topped by yellow anthers. Flowers are produced in small clusters, which are arranged in widely-spaced whorls
Leaves:
Ovate, stalked, up to 20 cm long, with a deep midvein and several parallel side veins
