Diprionidae (Conifer Sawflies) Larvae

Found these while picking some wild Muscadine grapes. Thought they would become butterflies or moths, but bugguide.net said Sawfly Larvae...Not quite life size as I wanted to capture all of them in the frame...

I have read about them; I have seen photos; I have never had the opportunity to capture images. Well done.

More shots of the Sawfly Larvae I posted the other day. In theses shots you can see them stripping the needles off of a Long Leaf Pine tree...Shot with a macro lens but I didn't want to crop out the out of focus areas so as to be able to see how many there were...
