Description:

Plant orange; capitulum branches mostly turned down. Stem cortex: 1-2 layers. Stem leaves broadly triangular, blunt at tip, and without fibrils, about the same size as branch leaf. Branch leaf secund with hyaline cells with pores numerous in chain like rows.

Habitat:

poor fen located at Ahlmstrom's prairie, Cape Alava, Washington.

Notes:

It was growing with S. papillosum; full exposure
