Description:

Plant pale green to ochre; capititulum crowded, convex; fascicles with branches 5 or less, spreading branches shorter than pendant branches; branch leaves slender and gradually tapering; at cross-section, green cells more exposed on outer surface; branch leaf pores few to numerous usually with apical pore. Stem leaves bluntly triangular with a ragged tip.

Habitat:

Sphagnum bog, associated with S. fuscum. Partially exposed site.
