Belonging to the Hydrocharitaceae family, water-nymphs (abbreviated as water-nymphs) are aquatic, submersed plants. The basic care requirement includes abundant sunlight, moderate to high water temperature, and neutral to hard water condition, while the soil should be nutrient-rich. Common challenges are susceptibility to poor water conditions and threats of snails. Seasonal changes don't affect water-nymphs significantly, however, the growth rate may decrease in lower temperatures during winter. Overcrowding may occur in warmer months which requires pruning and thinning.
