Purple milk-vetch is a plant with a natural distribution spanning across the temperate regions of Europe and Asia. It is indigenous to parts of Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe, as well as Russia, Mongolia, and both Central and East Asia. This species thrives in various climates within these major regions, but there is no significant recorded presence of it being introduced or cultivated outside its native range.
