Three-nerved Sandwort - Moehringia trinervia

Low to short, rather straggling plant, shoots hairy, leaves oval, 3 to 5 veined the lower ones stalked. Flowers white 4 to 7 mm, solitary, or several on slender hairy stalks, five parted. Petals are not split ('bifid') or notched, and about half the length of the hairy-margined sepals.

Found fairly frequently throughout Britain, though scarce in the extreme north.

Common in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire it was found in 426 of the 617 tetrads.
