Description
It is a common perennial of deciduous and mixed forests, especially on a limestone base. The greenish flower spreads over the vertebra of the leaves, which is usually of four, and seldom of three or five leaves. It is therefore a monocotyledonous lily, although the leaves are reticulate. The fruits are very toxic.
