Arcyria ferruginea

Arcyria ferruginea

Arcyria ferruginea is a slime mold in the family Arcyriaceae.
Arcyria ferruginea This slime mold consists of tightly packed sporangia that are each less than 0.5 mm wide! They were leaking some kind of liquid - maybe because I touched them, but I'm not sure.

Habitat: Growing on a rotten stump in a mixed forest.
