Freshwater Leech - Phylum Annelida, Class Clitellata, Subclass Hirudinea I was using nets to collect critters (catch and release) from a pond with my kids this morning when I found this cute, little leech. It was apparently quite hungry and I couldn&#039;t get a shot without letting it attach to me. It was persistent.  <br />
