Eurygaster testudinaria imago
Eurygaster testudinaria looks a lot like E.maura, but has the tylus sunken between the jugae, more pointed shoulders and somewhat different lengths of antennae segments. On the nymphs these characters are not applicable, so nymphs are virtually impossible to ID, unless raised to adulthood(!!)
This image is part of a series from 2nd stage nymph to imago:
''Eurygaster testudinaria'' is a Palearctic shieldbug. It occurs in Europe from the Northern Mediterranean to southern Scandinavia, and East through Central Asia to northern China and Japan.
