Clouded drab (Orthosia incerta) - DE: Variable Kätzcheneule
As in most pictures from today's hike along the riparian forest habitat on the banks of the Mangfall river, close to Miesbach, you can see conifer pollen everywhere, also on this moth and the leaves it is sitting on.
Viewed from 1 meter distance, it is quite hard to spot. My partner only noticed it since a leave fell close by and the little movement was enough to trigger the ”butterfly 6th sense”. See for yourself:

The Clouded Drab is a moth of the family Noctuoidea. It is found in Europe. The wingspan is 35-40 mm. The moth flies in one generation from the end of Februari to mid May. The larvae feed on various trees and shrubs, mainly oak.
