European red fox juvenile - Vulpes vulpes crucigera
The photo was taken with the car's headlights on. After an evening floating hide photography, we were driving back to the hotel at 11.30 pm when we saw two small foxes on the side of the road. One was lovingly watching us as we photographed him. Naturally, quite high ISO, had to reduce the noise in post-processing.
The red fox is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and the steppes of Asia.
