It was suggested that I post images of this species here as it seems to have generated a lot of interest nationally via a Buglife press release. A fairly nondescript species very similar in general appearance to Limnephilus hirsutus. The flight time for the species seems to match that of L. hirsutus so if anyone is running a moth trap in July/August adjacent to areas of calcareous fen/marsh and finds that species it is worth double checking for Limnephilus pati.
