Female White-legged Damselfly, Platycnemis pennipes, Blue Featherleg, a distinct damselfly with white legs/ Length is 32mm. Males are much smaller than females. Males are blue, sometimes with greenish thorax while females are cream or white with yellow to gold thorax. Environmental indicators of water purity. Inhabits rivers and streams rather than ponds.
