Garden Loosestrife (Lysimachia vulgaris an herbaceous perennial that grows 3-4 feet tall on upright, branched stems. Flowers are yellow, 0.5 in wide with 5 petals and distinct orange margins along the edges of the sepals. They bloom July-August and are arranged in clusters at the top of the plant. Leaves are lanceolate in shape, 8-12 cm long, opposite or whorled, dotted with black or orange glands, and have soft hairs beneath. It reproduces by seed (thought to be water-dispersed) and stolon-like rhizomes that can reach 30 feet
