Dark-Ebony Colored Foliage, Angelica Sylvestris!
Unfortunately we do not have a good image for this Angelica. This Angelica sylvestris has dark, ebony-colored (almost black) foliage! The second image shown is a different angelica, used to show the shape of a mature plant. An extremely beautiful garden perennial, this impressive Angelica has leaves that can reach 2 feet wide, and purple stems that can reach 2" round! Plants are tall, reaching up to 8' tall and have an imposing presence. Plants grow in regular soil, or in moist soils. Ornamental use only. Very rare and hard to find seeds!
Name: Angelica sylvestris
Type: Perennial
Location: Sun
Height: 4-5 feet
Hardiness zones: 3-7
Multiple packs can be ordered by adjusting the quantity above, or combine shipping with other seeds we offer! https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/truesourceseeds?sort_order=date_desc
GERMINATION
As with many perennials, these seeds can benefit from a period of moist cold to help them break dormancy. This is done by giving them a cold 'winter' period (artificial or natural), and then a warming to simulate 'spring', and time to grow! Here's how this can be done:
Obtain a planting container that has holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Place the seeds just under the surface of your growing medium, and water. Place your container in a cold area (but not freezing, perhaps a refrigerator) for 4-6 weeks. Once the cold period is completed, place the container at room temperature for them to germinate. Be sure to keep the soil moist during this entire germination period. Seedlings will sprout a few weeks, or occasionally several months, after the warming period.
Alternatively, these seeds can also be planted outdoors in fall, winter, or early spring, while temperatures are still cold (but ground is workable) to germinate naturally in spring. Be sure to mark the area where you planted them, and that the soil is consistently moist.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Sorry we do not ship internationally on any of our sites.
LIMITED SUPPLY
Shop early for best selection! Due to inventory shortages, and increased demand worldwide, many seeds sell out quickly and we may not be able to obtain more for some time. Thank you for your understanding.
IMPORTANT
Your seeds are best planted right away. If you are not able to, they are best stored in a plastic zipper bag and placed in a dry cold location or refrigerator until you are ready to plant them. Be sure they are clearly labelled.
Do not eat the seeds or any part of the plants that they produce. Due to the fact that about 80% of all plant species are not edible (contain toxins/poisons of some kind) these are likely to be poisonous. Ornamental use only.
