Salix sepulcralis Erythroflexuosa - Erythroflexuosa willow

There is something very unique about the Salix sepulcralis Erythroflexuosa. Its irregular growing habit and pendulous, twisting branches look stunning in all seasons.

Leaves first emerge slightly yellow, turning to a fresh green in summer. During the autumn, the foliage changes to golden yellow before the leaves drop and reveal the contorted nature of the branches.

Due to its beautiful orange-yellow bark, Salix sepulcralis Erythroflexuosa is often pruned or pollard to maintain its ornamental size. Being only a maximum height of around 8 metres, it is a smaller variety of willow, perfect for smaller gardens or being used as a specimen tree.

Best grown in almost all soils, ensuring it is moist and free draining.
