Easy and fun cruising skateboard/longboard!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This skateboard takes a lot of the effort out of skate boarding/long boarding. The cruise settings allow you to keep speed without having to push with your feet constantly. Cruising on mostly flat ground is what this board is meant for and it does this very very well. Would give five stars if cruising on flat ground was all I wanted to do. Pros: 1. Easily sets into one of the three gears for cruising. 2. Maintains speed well when going on flat ground or downhill. 3. Easy to activate brakes and they work well. 4. Smooth ride, good turn radius. 5. Handle on the side makes it easy to carry. 6. Can turn off motor and use as normal skateboard/longboard. 7. Change gears by simply lifting heel off sensor. 8. Maintains battery well when cruising. Cons: 1. Very sensitive sensor, slight movements of foot can cause unwanted change in gear or even brake activation. Takes getting used to change between gears but once figured out is simple. 2. If going downhill and brakes activate or you go from third to first gear by accident (which did happen with the sensitive sensor) I dangerously lurched forward off the board. - Personally would not recommend if you think you will be going downhill and having to brake at all or you can just use it as a normal longboard in these situations 3. Does not go uphill well. The manual says a 12 degree incline can be done but this isn't really even uphill in my book. Any attempt to go up a hill you will have to push kick at some point. 4. When push kicking uphill if your foot was on the sensor once you take it off to push kick the brakes activate. This again makes you lurch forward. Can't really push kick at anytime while motor is activated without brakes being activated. 5. Some kind of indicator of what gear the longboard is in would be very helpful. 6. The two modes labeled "Cruise mode" and "Brake mode", activated by button on motor, made no sense to me.

Good board for quick jaunts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skateboard is a little small lenth wise. Top speed is about 11mph faster if you're lighter (I'm 170lbs). I have this in my trunk of car. Good to have just in case I had to go from office to store nearby and quicker than walking, but too close to drive to. Haven't drained the battery yet, for I haven't had far to go. If battery dies, it is small enought that you can use it manually like a regular skateboard. I attached a Powell Peralta tailbone guard so that way I don't grind the board on accident. Since the controls are on the board I want to make sure that I don't trash the board. You get use to using the pressure control with lifting your heal and returning it to the board to shift to next gear. When you are about to come to a light, or coming to a point where you want to stop, just move your rear foot to the tail area, off the red dot sensors and the board begins to slow down. So far I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Awesome skateboard!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, this skateboard is easy to enjoy. The first thing I read on the Hover box was that 'Safety is our priority'. The skateboard felt very safe and easy to maneuver. It rides much like a normal skateboard and gently adds power to the wheels when your rear foot is in a certain spot. It's very easy and fun to ride. I have no problems letting any of my kids or their friends try this out. The board is rigid but easy enough to steer by gently shifting your weight on your toes or heels to turn left or right. Highly recommend! Great product!!

Fun - Not for the faint of heart :)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will admit that I wasn't a skateboarder growing up, so perhaps a bit of the allure is lost for me in this product. That being the case, it's still a fun gizmo to buzz around the neighborhood on. Similar to other types of electronic scooters built nowadays, it does take some time to learn, balance and operate. A new rider, unskilled in using this device, should expect and prepare to fall a couple of times while learning. The electric skateboard is very fun for the younger kids, probably more hazardous that it's worth for most of us adults! :)

Great way to get around campus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first experience that I have had riding an electric skateboard and I have been impressed with this board thus far. I have used it to go to class and to ride around campus. The board's design makes it easy to carry when you are not riding it and the long battery life is very convenient. Once you get started moving, it is very easy to control your speed. I was hesitant to purchase this product at first not knowing how much control the user has over the speed of the board but I am happy I decided to go with Hover-1 Cruze Electric Skateboard. After an initial 10 minutes of figuring out how the board worked, I felt comfortable riding it anywhere around campus. Overall I was very pleased with this purchase. This is an innovative way to get around campus that I can see being utilized more in the future.

Cruze Electric Skateboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've ridden skateboards for years and for the longest time I was skeptical of a motorized version at first. However, as soon as I got going on the Cruze I was hooked. It's all the fun of skateboarding without the work! It is a nice compact size and turning is pretty responsive, making it very convenient for getting to class when you have to go across campus. One drawback is that the foot-sensor control is a little hard to get used to at first. I found myself more focused on my feet than what was ahead of me and had a few close calls. However, now that I am used to the operation of the throttle riding the Cruze is a blast. Not sure I'll go back to my other board.

Had Problems
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Cruze skateboard so obviously I like this little neighborhood cruiser. The first one I bought right there in BestBuy, and that was maybe about 18 months. I use it just about every day but the battery doesn't have too much longevity especially for the speeds I like to cruise. They last about an hour if you are about 170ibs going moderate speed. So I decided to get a second one to keep a backup and go further. This time I ordered from Bestbuy website and the second one came and seemed to have a different stalling type ride compared to the first. After three weeks of moderate riding, it stalled out completely. I can only say that it was not built like the one I purchased at first, which still works to this day and has been most reliable.

It’s Fun and Saves Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this board. It’s not the high-end board but it still rides great. Are use it to park further out in crowded parking areas and skate to the door to do my shopping. Not like a bike you can bring it in and have it in your buggy while you shop. I no longer worry about someone scratching my vehicle in the parking lot or having to struggle to find a place to park close by. It’s also nice to follow along with my son while he rides his bike or electric scooter. I have had nothing but fun times on this board and the only negative thing I can say about it is that it can’t get wet or right on wet roads. The reason is for one it’s dangerous and too it’s not waterproof so I could mess up the charging components are the motor. But on a good dry day on smooth surfaces this board is great for parking lots roads as long as you’re respecting the traffic . I would highly recommend this item the cost is not that expensive you can get the two-year warranty but if you keep it well-maintained I think you will get your moneys worth without an extended warranty. Overall this is a great product and Best Buy offers it so I highly recommend if you want something fun and helpful at the same time get yourself this board. I must add that I am in my 40’s and I am not a kid, but I enjoy this item. It’s not just kids item and I would take this over a Hoverboard any day.
