General Information: Vibrant flower plumes are striking in the shaded or woodland garden or as a late-flowering ground cover. Attractive planted with bergenia, hosta, ferns or near water. Excellent cut flower, fresh or dried. Tolerates drier soils than other astilbes.

Grower Information:

Purple-pink flower plumes in a short, conelike shape. Very floriferous, compact plant with a creeping habit that makes it useful for groundcover. Sturdy stems feature very full flowers. Deeply incised, rough-textured dark or bronze-green foliage. This tough species is more sun and drought-tolerant than other Astilbes.
