Japanese larch is widely distributed in its native Japan, where plantations cover vast swaths of the western highlands. It has very long low branches that swoop out and up, and the top branches swoop upwards as well. With scaly rusty-brown bark, mature trees can grow to be 100 feet tall. Compared to European larch, the leaves are wider and grayer-green. The scales are turned out and down on the margins of the cones, which are brown, flattened, and bun-shaped.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
