Good clean culture.
Bought this Lion's Mane culture almost a year ago. And right about that time I lost interest in growing mushrooms as a hobby (despite the fact that they work great, I just didn't enjoy using a still air box). So this syringe sat in my fridge for over eight months.Just a few weeks ago I got back into mushroom growing with the purchase of a good laminar flow hood. I decided to give this culture a try, despite the long time in the fridge. I inoculated a quart jar of LC media to grow out, and I also inoculated some Agar plates to see if it was clean. I later tested my grown out LC on agar too.Everything ended up clean. So based on my experience, you can't beat the quality for the price. I should be fruiting this in a few weeks, and if I'm able to update the review with pictures, I will.Edit: Updated with pictures. Transferred this culture to several plates, no contam. No spawn, and substrate contam either. Once again, this syringe sat in my fridge for the better part of a year before I used it.

I should have listened to what the other reviews were saying. The syringes are unusable. I bought 2 of the Pink Oysters out of fear that I might have issues so I'll update this to maybe 2-3 stars if I can't at least get a salvageable culture from the second attempt. Do not buy though! Root Mushroom needs to fix their processes. Use a reputable supplier such as North Spore instead.

Purchased the Blue Oyster Liquid culture to experiment with homemade agar recipe. Inoculated several plates with a few ccs of culture. Visible mycelium growth within a few days and full plate coverage in less than 2 weeks. I have done several transfers to new agar plates with success. Inoculated several grain jars (popcorn) and had full jar coverage in 2 weeks. Plan to do full grow out on aspen shavings in a week or 2 and will update the results. Happy with the results and would recommend the seller.
Update 5/27/2023 - Well it took a while, but I finally got some Oyster mushrooms. This has been a fun and cheap project. I have many grain jars and agar plates from a couple of cc's of liquid culture.
