Forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides or Myosotis palustris) - 03
(Forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides or Myosotis palustris) - 03) This is another cluster of forget-me-not flowers with several bud poking their way out from under the flowers.  There are a lot of stories about how this wildflower got its common name, but the more classical legend is: A young man was picking some flowers for his sweetheart at the edge of a small lake. In the process he fell in, and not being able to swim, he began to slip below the surface and through the flowers to his sweetheart on the shore, and shouted, "Forget-me-not."

lamb-right lamb-left Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation.  Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion.  It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
