Type specimens of Sympycnus pulicarius, S. annulipes, S. cinerellus and S. desoutteri were examined to clear up a long-lasting taxonomic confusion. Our study revealed that they represent, together with S. pygmaeus and S. annulipes var. brunnitibialis, a single species, with S. pulicarius as the senior subjective synonym, which is redescribed in this paper. Lectotypes were designated for Dolichopus pulicarius, Porphyrops annulipes, Chrysotus cinerellus and Sympycnus desoutteri. The postpedicel in this species shows substantial variation in shape and size, but the presence of a posteroventral bristle on the mid tibia is more reliable and the particular chaetotaxy and relative lengths of the tarsomeres of the male hind tarsus are entirely consistent. Both latter features separate S. pulicarius from another species, S. septentrionalis sp. nov., that is described here. Ecological data on both species were examined. An analysis of Malaise trap and white pan trap samples collected in Belgi...

Contribution to knowledge of the mycobiota of Kampinos National Park (Poland): Part 2Continuation of the mycological study of the fire-damaged pine forest in Kampinos National Park in central Poland in 2017 produced interesting new findings. Among the taxa collected, 36 were new to the Park, six had not been hitherto reported from Poland (<em>Calycellina araneocincta</em>, <em>Ciliolarina </em>aff. <em>laetifica</em>, <em>Clitocybe metachroides</em>, <em>Galerina cerina</em> f. <em>longicystis</em>, <em>Parasola cuniculorum, Pleonectria pinicola</em>), and the previous status of one taxon (<em>Pleonectria cucurbitula</em>) had been uncertain. Short descriptions based on collected specimens have been prepared for all taxa new to Poland. The current number of taxa of macromycetes identified in Kampinos National Park has reached 1604.

Symphytum tuberosum complex in central Europe: cytogeography, morphology, ecology and taxonomy2016 •
The Symphytum tuberosum complex is a highly polyploid and taxonomically intriguing group. At least eight ploidy levels were recorded previously within this complex. Based on flow cytometric screening of 271 central-European populations, two dominant ploidy levels were revealed: tetraploid (2n = 4x = 32) and widespread dodecaploid (2n = 12x = 96). The tetraploid cytotype is mainly distributed along the southern and south-western margins of the West Carpathians where they abut the Pannonian basin, and found only in Slovakia, the Czech Republic (south-eastern Moravia) and Hungary; our findings represent the first records of this ploidy level for the latter two countries. In contrast, the dodecaploid cytotype occurs throughout the whole area studied. In addition to their geographic distributions, differences between the cytotypes in morphology and habitat requirements were detected using a multivariate morphometric analysis and analysis of a phytosociological database, respectively. Bas...

Wielkopolski National Park is a protected area located in central Wielkopolska, near Poznań City, and is an important refuge to numerous valuable species of plants, fungi, and animals. Through 2019, the project to recognize and catalog the macromycetes of this Park was continued. The current paper presents the results of these studies in the form of an annotated list of the recorded species. One hundred and eighty-nine taxa new for Wielkopolski National Park have been identified. Among these, nine are new to Poland (Acanthophysellum lividocoeruleum, Agaricus moellerianus, Callistosporium luteo-olivaceum, Entoloma terreum, Flammulina populicola, Leucoagaricus sublittoralis, Marasmius anomalus var. microsporus, Phaeohelotium rufescens, and Tulasnella danica). The current number of fungal taxa found in this park is 1,122.

Actitis hypoleucos (L., 1758)--new Polish host of the trematodes: Plagiorchis nanus (Rudolphi, 1802) and Leucochloridium perturbatum Pojmańska, 19692011 •
In July-August of 2005-2008, 47 digenean trematodes were examined from 7 specimens of the common sandpiper, Actitis hypoleucos (L., 1758). The digeneans were collected during a study on the food composition of the common sandpiper. The research was conducted near Lisewo Malborskie (near Tczew, Zuławy Wiślane, Gdańsk sea-coast), at a resting site on the birds' migration route. The foods ingested were extracted from live birds by draining their alimentary tracts with a nasogastric tube. Two digenean species were identified: Plagiorchis nanus Rudolphi, 1802 (Plagiorchiidae) and Leucochloridium perturbatum Pojmańska, 1969 (Leucochloridiidae). Actitis hypoleucos is the host for these new records in Poland. The P. nanus individuals isolated from A. hypoleucos differed in terms of the visible uterus and the extent of the vitellaria in the posterior part of the body.
