Growing: It likes sunny positions and well drained soil. It can even compete well with grass.
Medicinal uses: One of the most valuable members of my home apothecary. Stops bleeding better than just about any other plant (aside from usnea). It is also anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and is a great diaphoretic used to reduce fevers.
Permaculture Uses: Great beneficial insect attractor and easy to grow medicinal plant. As I mentioned above, it competes well with grass and can help you diversify monoculture lawns.
