Lonicera tatarica - Tatarian Honeysuckle
Leaves - Opposite, simple, entire, 2½ inches long, ovate to oblong ovate, apex usually pointed, base slightly heart shaped or rounded, green above, paler beneath, essentially hairless.
Twigs - Hairless, pith brown, usually hollow in the center
Flowers - Pink to white not becoming yellow with age, about ¾ inches long, June. Flower tube shorter than spreading lobes.
Fruit - Small globular, red, sometimes slightly united at base and a berry in July and August.
Growth Habit - Medium sized upright bushy, twiggy shrub of a vigorous growth.
