The Rock Pipit is a specialist of exposed rocky shorelines of western and northern Europe. In Britain, Ireland and NW France birds are present all year round. Here are a couple of birds living up to their name in the splash zone at the base of cliffs on the south Cornwall coast. The dark plumage and dark coloured legs distinguish it from the related Meadow Pipit vimeo.com/220117053 which was also present in this habitat.
