Acer Saccharinum, or more commonly know as Silver Maple, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Acer. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 80 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Acer Saccharinum or Silver Maple's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.
