Erigeron bonariensis is an annual that can reach a height of 80 centimeters and blooms in Central Europe from July to October. Its native range includes most of South America and extends to Central America. As an introduced species, the plant, which belongs to the Asteraceae family, can be found almost worldwide. It is also found in some regions of North America.
Erigeron bonariensis can be distinguished from Erigeron canadensis by its much larger flowers and darker, almost blue-green leaves. The two species can be seen growing together.
