Musk Mallow – Malva moschata



The five notched petals of these flowers are ususally pale pink but they can also be white. They have a sweet, musky scent. The lower leaves are kidney-shaped and toothed, where as the upper leaves are deeply divided narowly. It grows to a height of 50-80 cm.

It flowers July to August, and can be seen along roadsides, hedgerows and in meadows. Common and widespread throughout Britain except further north where it is scarcer.
