Forewing length 5-6 mm. This is a tiny little micro-moth which can be seen flying during the day as well as at night. The larva feeds on Birches or Alder. The adult flies June to August, and can be found in woodland, parks and gardens. Widespread and one of the commonest Argyresthia moths.
