Taxonomy: Fam. Poaceae// Genus: Poa// Species: Poa trivialis L.// Subspecies: Poa trivialis subsp. sylvicola (Guss.) H. Lindb.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Edmondson in Tutin et al. (1980).

Lifeform:  Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Poa trivialis L. is native to Macaronesia, North Africa and Temperate Eurasia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Open habitats- grasslands, edges of woods.

Flowering period: Late spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.
