Verbascum thapsus L. subsp. thapsus

Taxonomy: Fam. Scrophulariaceae// Genus: Verbascum// Species: Verbascum thapsus L.// Subspecies: Verbascum thapsus L. subsp. thapsus.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea (Tutin et al., 1972).

Lifeform: Biennial.

Distribution: Native to Azores, from Europe to Siberia, Himalaya and China according to the distribution information provided by the the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Open habitats- dry grasslands, hill pastures, rocky terrains, clearings of forests.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL, AUG.
