Distribution: Native to Temperate Eurasia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.
Habitat: Grasslands, pastures, clearings of forests from the lowest part up to c. 1600 m altitude.
Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.
Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL, AUG.
