Alisma plantago-aquatica (Common Water Plantain) is a species of perennial herb in the family Alismataceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Syritta pipiens, Cabbage Maggot, Cheilosia proxima, and Anasimyia. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
