Comments: A large growing deciduous tree that is reputed to have originated as a hybrid occurring between scion and understock. Leaves much like horse-chestnut. Flowers in mid-May are white with red markings. Is suspected to grow to a large tree, 50-60' tall and nearly as wide. Usually fall color is muted yellow-brown. Would make a good shade tree.
