Español: Anteriormente conocido como "Myxomycota", ahora ya se sabe que no es de la familia de los hongos, se clasifica actualmente como Myxogastria.
Estos organismos heterotróficos son depredadores de marañas de comida microbiana, y tanto son capaces de envolver y digerir bacterias, como levaduras, como esporas de hongos o materia en descomposición. Su ciclo de vida es apasionante, se reproduce por esporas y vive una fase “animal” nutriendose por ingestión, incluso se desplaza reptando Fuligo septica se identifica como el vómito de los gatos de trolls |
