| Description |
English: Lycogala sp., a myxomycete from the family Reticulariceae, observed in the Black Sugarloaf private reserve, Tasmania. Pictured is a fruiting body approximately 7 mm in diameter, in the process of developing from a plasmodium – a mobile, multinucleated cell characteristic of myxomycetes. The genus Lycogala exhibits a complex structure and encompasses over 70 species, with the majority awaiting formal description. The specimen captured in the photograph likely belongs to yet undescribed species.
Українська: Lycogala sp. − міксоміцет з родини Reticulariceae, приватний заповідник Блек Шугарлоф (Black Sugarloaf), о. Тасманія. Зображене тут молоде плодове тіло діаметром близько 7 мм знаходиться на стадії формування: воно утворюється з плазмодію, рухомої багатоядерної клітини. Рід Lycogala має складну структуру і складається з понад 70 видів, більшість з яких ще не одержали формального опису. Зображений на фотографії зразок імовірно належить до одного з неописаних видів.
