There are two types laburnum the Common Laburnum (Laburnum anagyroide) and the Alpine Laburnum (Laburnum alpinum). Originally the laburnum is native to southern Central Europe. It is a very common and popular garden tree / bush, because of his rich blossoms.
Tree profile
The leaves are odd-fingered with three oblong single leaves. The leaf margin is smooth and the petiole longer than the leaf. The leaf arrangement is alternate.
The flowers are yellow and very numerous.
Legume: The fruit (pod) is in summer green and brown in autumn.
The branches are light brown with protruding green buds.
Garden tree / shrub. The variety Laburnum wateri 'Vossii' is best for the garden.
Warning toxic: flowers, seeds and roots are particularly toxic to humans and animals.
