Schisandra chinensis 'Take 5'

Schisandra chinensis, whose fruit is called magnolia berry or five-flavor-fruit, is a deciduous woody vine native to forests of Northern China and the Russian Far East. It is hardy in the UK where it will bear its small yellow cream flowers in Summer. A good fruit set normally requires the presence of male and female plants 'Take 5' is a variety that will self set the edible fruits.

NB I have found that whilst established plants are trouble free and easy small new plants can be decimated by slugs and snails before they have a chance to get going
