Description: It presents a color that varies between reddish brown and purple. The leaves are very different from the other types, as they have a ventral lobe in a small bag shape, allowing the species to store some water. It has also a third row of ventral leaves, the amphigastria, horizontally arranged throughout the stem.

Habitat: Tree trunks and protected rocks.
