Botanical Description

Overwintering as a bud. Leaves elliptic to lanceolate-oblong, to 4.5cm long or more, with inrolled margins, pale yellow-green. Flowers 1-1.5cm long, white with one to several yellow spots on the lower lip, on stems 5-11cm tall, early to late summer. Arctic and subarctic Europe including the mountains and higher hills of central Europe, in bogs and wet places.
