Leaves two or three, starting to expand at flowering time, narrowly linear-lanceolate, 12-25cm long at maturity, glabrous. Flowers one to seven, light purple-pink or white strongly suffused purple-pink, the lobes oblanceolate to very narrowly elliptic, 2.1-3.5cm long, occasionally with basal auricles, anthers purplish to greenish-black, styles straight, stigmas point-like, early spring. Turkey, Iran, Caucasus, in moist to wet grassland, steppe and pine forest margins at 200-3250m.
